I can still clearly remember the feelings I had when I first heard John McLaughlin play trio which was in, I think 1989 at the Festival Hall on the South Bank in London. That night was released as a CD and which I’ve listened to hundreds of times since but that night was very special for me. One of those incredible nights!
This is a slightly different version of John’s trio and is another wonderful document of this quality group. This is indeed from Gothenburg, the tags were miss labelled in a moment of madness. Don’t wporry…the people responsible have been fired and will not work in the business again.

Thank you! Is this from Gothenburg or Copenhagen? The track files are tagged Copenhagen, but the banner says Gothenburg.

This is spectacular. Trilok and McLaughlin kick ass as usual. Was especially happy that McLaughlin’s tone wasn’t quite at the mega-cheesey tone that he has these days. Thank you!

I´M FLIPPING RIGHT NOW! I´ve just seen this site and my surprise has been WONDERFUL. LOVE JMT in all versions! and the sound of acoustic guitar and these wonderful pieces make me feel very happy, pure genius, pure magic, pure music. MUCHAS GRACIAS for this big present!
