Urge, you rule. thanks a ton for this. that Holland/Coleman trio boot you posted still amazes me – so I can’t wait to hear this one. it’s fine by me if you like this lineup better – though I love his new quintet (and am anxious to hear his new sextet with the astounding Eric Harland on drums), this band is around the peak for many of these players (for me, anyway) – Smitty was amazing on Steve Coleman and Holland’s discs back then, but it seems he’s vanished into the world of late night – and Wheeler and Priester both were great around this time. Steve Coleman on pretty much anything is great – and as awesome as Potter is, I prefer Coleman too. Thank you for making my week (and it’s only monday).
